I have been a member of Divine Mercy since our beginning in 2009. It has been, and continues to be, an amazing journey! God has richly blessed us with so many opportunities to minister in song and I absolutely love every moment of it!
As the daughter of a Methodist minister (Rev. J. Stanley Gwinn), I had the privilege of growing up in church, and my dad’s love of old hymns and gospel music was easily handed down to me. My mom always sang in the choir or played the piano, and I am thankful to have been raised in such a musical environment.
I have been involved in many different music ventures throughout my life, including singing in church choirs and cantatas, directing handbell and youth choirs, and playing piano. I sang with the group Acapella Glory for 5 years. I have even had the opportunity to play the role of a troublemaking nun in “Nunsense”, a musical production presented by MCTI in Greenville, Kentucky, in the summer of 2014. I reprised that role in 2018 in the sequel, “Nunsense Jamboree.” What a fun experience community theatre is!
I live in Earlington, Kentucky, where I share my home with a beagle and a very spoiled chihuahua. I have a wonderful and talented daughter, Ami, who lives in Jacksonville, Arkansas and has inherited my passion for music, books, traveling and adventure.
